Highlights: "The Barossa Valley is a cracking place to grow grapes and make wine, and we're fortunate to have a plentiful network of grape growing mates. One of the benefits, we guess, of spending time downing pale ales at the local pub. So from time to time, operating behind the scenes calling in old favours with a knowing nod or a gentle tap on the shoulder, we're able to get our hands on small parcels of awesome fruit from outstanding Barossa Valley vineyards to produce top-notch wine to be sold under our 'Faceless Men' label." - Kym Teusner and Mick Page

Tasting Notes

  • Vintage: 2014

  • Alcohol: 14.5%

  • Regions: barossa valley

  • Varieties: red blends

  • Color: Medium ruby.

  • Nose: This blend shows spice from the Grenache, rich fruit notes from the Shiraz and savoury, earthy characters from the Mataro.

  • Palate: Bright, juicy, spicy red-fruited Grenache is a perfect lead, supported by dark and savoury Mataro and backed up by rich and plummy Shiraz. Each in their own right quite contracting characters, but magnificently compatible compatriots in the glass when blended. This is a bright, robustly flavoured wine with plenty to keep avid Barossa Red wine drinkers very happy indeed. Just thinking about all those rich flavours and spice has us salivating!
