New Vintage Grant Burge Cab

When our mate Grant Burge comes to us with a deal, he isn't cracking the bullwhips and riding a horse like some of the wine industry cowboys, he's offering us some of his wines because we love to drink them and know that you will too.

The Bottom Line:

  • Richly flavoured, gently spicy Red with a juicy consistency that is oh, so very gluggable
  • One of the true Barossa icons, Grant Burge continue to produce great quality wines at stunning prices
  • 5 RED STAR James Halliday-rated winery

Grant Burge

I keep coming back for it on a regular basis whilst my wife approves of it and asks for more. A very drinkable red and great buying at the price.

Great drinking

|

The Cabernet is the nicest of the Grant Burge wines offered through Winemarket. Their other varieties and blends are also good drinking but the Cab, takes the biscuit. It has a quiet but pleasing nose and tickles the tongue with its new mown grass and spicy flavours. Some other winemakers put heaps more tannin in their Cabs, some even tossing oak chips into the fermenters. I know wine judges like this but for me it makes those wines far too astringent. If you intend to put the wine down for 20 years, that is good, but few people I know have a cellar to store their wine at 18C and lower all year round for that length of time.

My wife and our friends are as fond of this wine as I am so we buy to drink now and enjoy.

Good drop.

We find the Grant Burge very easy to drink with nice flavours

and tasty on the palate. Does not last very long in our house.

Enjoyable drinking

|

A nice easy drinking red, tastes a little sweet for me I prefer a dryer style. I still enjoyed drinking this as it is well made and I am sure it would improve with keeping short term.

Grant Burge Cabernet 2017

Another excellent wine from G.Burge.

Fruity full bodied , but young.

Good drinking now but will become excellent with a bit more age.

A good wine to buy now and put away for future, it will be priceless.

Although young,this wine is excellent.

Good to drink now and good to put away for later.

It has good fruit, not too heavy and is a good wine to drink with steaks ,nibbles or on its own just to relax with.

No problems with this wine

Quickly became my favourite

This wine is as nice as any Cab Sav I have ever had. For the price it's now my favourite

Nice drop

|

Purchased a ctn 2 weeks ago. A little young, but excellent flavour, and easy to drink, too easy in fact. Will have to order more and put it down for a couple of years. Will be magnificent with age.

Reds under the bed

|

Grab a few boxes of this outstandingly fruity Cab, the blackberry is enhanced by the rear palate chocolate undertones. Put some under your bed and just drink for the next couple years.
