Raise a Glass to the Debutante!

Sourced from the Mount Benson and wider Limestone Coast regions, this beauty is full of surprises! With trademark cool climate Shiraz flavours, it keeps things interesting with its smooth, velvety mouth-feel and oaky, spicy undertones that go on and on. Do not miss this one!

The Bottom Line

  • Rich, luscious, and cool climate to the core!
  • Pair with a juicy steak, fresh off the BBQ!
  • Drink now or cellar with confidence for 6-10 years
  • FREE DELIVERY!!

It may be slightly lesser known than the big three of McLaren Vale, Barossa, and Margaret River, but the Limestone Coast makes some absolute beauties when it comes to cool climate wines! Shiraz from this region is loaded with complexity and makes for some intriguing - not to mention, smooth! - sipping.

Nose
Notes of poached plums and cherry on the nose, combined with aromas of pepper and spice finishing with a lift of vanilla oak.
Palate
The flavours are those of a trademark cool climate Shiraz leading with ripe fruit characters of dark plum and cherry, with a hint of cassis spice and oak. The palate is generous, vibrant and savoury, with a smooth and velvety mouthfeel owing to soft tannin structure.

"Debutante for a reason !"

Vintage: 2014

a bit too sweet for my liking in a Shiraz,

not a bad wine, defiantly smooth enough,

probably expected a bit more of a heavy hitter from Limestone Coast,

will cellar half a doz to see if they improve with age.

"A fine red"

Give this wine a bit of time with the top off and it is a lovely red. A bit lighter than other shiraz types but it is a lovely drinkable wine. You won't be disappointed putting a dozen of these in the cellar.
