Brands Laira The Laira Barossa Shiraz 2013 (6 Bottles)
Big Ol’ Barossa Shiraz Named For A Big Ol’ Ship
It’s our first release of this burly Barossan, from the famous makers at Brand’s Laira. The winery’s renowned for their Coonawarra prowess (and cellar door!) but this venture into the world-famous Shiraz vines of the Barossa is a real winner. Named after a ship and perfect for when the sun’s over the yardarm!
The Bottom Line
- A big Barossa outing from famous Brand’s Laira
- Deep and rich Shiraz
- Full-bodied, supple, and built for enjoying with LOTS of food and good conversation
From the winemaker:“Full bodied… in the traditional regional mold [sic], with supple dark plum fruit and a dense, rich fruit core knitted to silky smooth tannins and background oak.”
This Barossa heavy hitter is named after a sailing ship from the early days of Australia’s history. An export label originally, we’ve managed to pick up a small parcel for a steal – all the power and spice for less!
A household name in Coonawarra, Brand’s Laira has expanded in recent years to acquire more premium South Australian vines, including the sensational patch of Barossa dirt that has brought us this beauty. Cheers, gents!
Drinks very well know and really enjoy this wine with and after a meal.
An enjoyable great priced red.
I love my Shiraz and this is a great wine for the price.
