For my palate it is a bit flat on fruit and devoid of depth.
Perhaps I should just stick to something I know that I enjoy. Life is to short. Will not be buying a second batch.
100% Garnacha from Campo de Borja, Aragon, Spain
Wines like this come along occasionally and remind us all exactly what enjoying a glass is meant to be about. It's possible to have quality without being pretentious, and that's exactly what this Garnacha (Spanish for Grenache) is so good at.
We produce some Grenache of our own in Australia- it's a fruit-driven style that's generally based around sweet raspberry and cherry flavours, made for short cellaring and big crowd-pleasing. Spain is the birthplace of the stuff, and they do a no-nonsense Grenache better than anyone else on the planet (and often at wallet-friendly price points).
This one is made for easy, summer slugging. Pop a bottle with friends, with pizza, with your next BBQ, with whatever the hell you want. Spanish reds like this are made for lively enjoyment, not a bunch of old men grading them from 1-100.
It's full of juicy, incredibly ripe red fruit courtesy of plenty of Mediterranean sun, no oak, no overbearing marketing hype, no nonsense. Basically, liquid proof that the gods of easy-drinking reds love us.
And hey - every wine we sell comes with a 100% money-back guarantee! Try two bottles out of the dozen, and if you're not in love with them, get in touch and we'll refund the entire case and come pick up the remaining 10 bottles for free. No risk, no nasty surprises!
