You'd need to speak to an expert in all things ornithological…
…to ascertain whether the bucolic Adelaide Hills provide a suitable environment for owls but we'd be guessing that if the Hills did have such noble, feathered inhabitants they wouldn't be getting around naked. That's because it can get pretty cold in them thar' hills and while not ideal for nuding it up such conditions can produce some pretty exciting chardonnay. Typically the wines will show white peach, grapefruit and tight, pithy citrus characters and have more restrained and subtle profiles than warmer climate styles. Restrained and subtle profiles – just like a naked owl out in the cold.
- Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
- Made by the award winning flying winemaker, Randolph Bowen.
- Great Price!
- This is a lean style of Chardonnay with lifted tropical fruit aromas followed by a nicely rounded sweet fruit flavor.
- ‘This Chardonnay is a fine example of the new style that I am now making with far less oak, complexity from stirring the lees in tank for 6 months
and lower alcohol.’

| Winery Information |
The Naked Owl label is produced by Randolph Bowen, known for his past life as one of the 'Flying Winemakers' as well as his stint at Foster's. While you might not see this label on the side of the bus, it's absolute value for money and a pretty good quaff too. |
