Top Rated Jamiesons Run Shiraz!

Sometimes we have such small quantities of a particular wine it’s not really worth telling you about it. We just pop it up on the site and it sort of just sells itself, then before you know it, its gone.

But we just felt compelled to tell you about this one even though we’ll spend more time apologising to those who missed out than filling orders.

We've got a tiny parcel of the always popular Jamiesons Run Shiraz from the 2012 vintage at a price we’re unlikely to be able to match ever again. It’s silky, supple and loaded with heady spice. It’s got everything going for it except quantity.

The Bottom Line

  • Once it's gone, its gone. We've only got limited cases at this price so don't hang about...stock up now!
  • Silky, supple Shiraz loaded with heady spice and ready to be enjoyed now
  • Jamiesons Run became famous in 1989 when one of their Reds won the Jimmy Watson Trophy – Australia’s most famous Red wine trophy

At this kinda price for six you’ll struggle to find a better Red wine anywhere…and if you don’t get in quick you’ll struggle to find it here too.

We’ll just say sorry in advance for those who miss out.

Winery Information
Named in tribute to the original Jamiesons Run - a remote outback sheep station owned by the Jamieson Brothers in the mid 1800s. Jamiesons Run's connection with Coonawarra started in 1953 (as Mildara Wines) under the guidance of director Ron Haselgrove, who purchased what turned out to be some of the most sought after parcels of Terra Rossa soil in Coonawarra. Jamiesons Run shot to fame in 1989 when the 1998 Jamiesons Run Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc / Malbec red one the Jimmy Watson Trophy – Australia’s most famous red wine trophy. Since that time Jamiesons Run has continued to be a quality producer of wines sourcing fruit from the Limestone Coast region in South Australia’s south-east corner.

We have had Jamiesons Run before and so knew we were getting good value.

An exceptionally smooth Shiraz, and such good value

This wine has been around for years and every now and then I try it as it has some supporters. I always find it disappointing. Good colour and initial taste is pleasing but then dies in your mouth and leaves a tart lemon taste on the palate. Will not buy this one again.
