| Winery Information: Simon and Tim have reserved exceptional fruit from their
old, dry grown Barossa and Clare Valley vineyards.
Barossa Vineyard: Situated at 400 metres altitude, the vines
were originally planted by Pastor Franz Julius Lehmann in
1932. These gnarled, twisted vines bear a miserly 1 tonne per
acre each year.
Clare Vineyard: The ‘Sheoaks’ vineyard was originally
planted in the 1960’s. The dry grown vines yield between one
and two tonnes per acre. The 2003 season was warmer and drier than 2002 with lowercropping levels, hence the wines are firmer and fuller, with potential to develop over the next 15 years. |
