Looking back on all the wines we've offered in our first year of business there's one that stands out like a basketballer in the jockey's rooms at Flemington.
The Harbord Adelaide Hills pinot noir was a wine that blew us all away with the quality it was able to deliver at a give-away price.
So when Roger Harbord said he had something else we might like our ears pricked up like… maybe we'll just leave the metaphors alone for a minute there…
Anyway, where were we?…… oh that's right… Roger's new wine.
Well it looks like he's done it again, this time with a Coonawarra cabernet merlot blends that hums with classically varietal cassis and plums and plenty of that beautifully elegant structure that the terra rossa soil provides.
This is a beautifully made, brilliantly drinkable red that would put a lot of its much higher priced peers to shame.
In fact we reckon it's probably the best red under $10 we've seen in ages at just $8.99 a bottle.
Go on…you know you want it.
