- Adelaide Hills sauvignon blanc
- Great Price!
- by the flying winemaker, Randolph Bowen.
It's not hard to see why sauvignon blanc is more popular than the only bacon vendor in a town full of hangovers.
Its boldness of personality is something that really sets it apart, it's vibrant and flashy array of flavours creating an impact that few other varieties can match. You could say that its best assets are as noticeable as the bits on an owl that let you know he's naked and that have become especially prominent since his last owly girlfriend left him for a tawny frogmouth with better hair and more money. Think passionfruit, fresh grass and a big squeeze of zesty citrus….and spare a thought for the lovelorn owl.
‘Wine drinkers will not need a bottle of antacid to enjoy this wine. The vineyard that supplies the fruit for this wine always produces great fruit every vintage. I keep the winemaking simple, pick on flavour ripeness, ferment cold settled juice for about 20 days, and get the wine to bottle as fast as possible. This wine has great tropical characters and a lifted grassy freshness and not too much acid!!’ Randoph.

The Naked Owl label is produced by Randolph Bowen, known for his past life as one of the 'Flying Winemakers' as well as his stint at Foster's. While you might not see this label on the side of the bus, it's absolute value for money and a pretty good quaff too. |
