Alcohol  13%

Winemaker
Oak  Combination of French oak barriques & stainless steel tank

Background  New Zealand’s most successful variety made famous by the distinctive wines of Marlborough and Martinborough. This is a single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from Martinborough, providing a fascinating insight into the site derived differences.
Colour  Pale straw in colour streaked with green hues.
Nose  Herbal elements of sage and mint are balanced by lime and passionfruit aromatics.
Palate  A subliminal hint of vanilla and cream provide the added complexity. The palate’s rich core of fruit is tempered by citrus-like acidity lending balance and freshness.
Highlights  The wines of Craggy Range reflect not only the character of the vineyard and the maker, but also the unique weather and cultural aspects of every vintage. 90 Points - “Bracingly crisp but dense and textured North Island Sauvignon with mineral sea-breeze flavours set against delicious green fruit. Ready now but you could still be drinking this in summer 2014, so, if you've got somewhere good to store it, it's well worth laying in a few bottles…” The Wine Gang
Winery Information  Terry Peabody and his family searched for ten years to find the place and the people that could fulfil a dream – that they could make some of the best wine in the world. It was this notion of legacy – to create something greater than the here and now – that led Terry Peabody in 1997 to Steve Smith and to the development of Craggy Range. Their aim was to make single-vineyard wines – wines that are true expressions of the vineyard’s terroir. And an ambition to make the greatest wines in the land. No small goal and one that is not achieved without considerable effort.
