We at WineMarket don't pretend to be that sophisticated.
Sure, we can put on a top hat and tails or an evening gown when required, but were more than likely to be caught wiping our faces on the table cloths than doing the 'right thing'. Still, we do like to treat ourselves now and then.
So we were pretty chuffed to be invited to taste the Jacquart Champagnes. Some of us even wore socks with our thongs.
But we pretty quickly realized this isn't elitist stuff… Champagne is linked to celebrations, festivities, parties and all things fun, and the wines, though complex, beautifully structured and wonderfully expressive are meant for drinking with friends.
These aren't new producers either – they are up there with the best. Jacquart owns the largest area of vineyards in Champagne, a serious achievement in one of the most expensive and tightly held regions to buy wine land in the world. Jacquart are all about Champagne, producing wines of elegance and style utilizing traditional methods. Simply, they are superb.
Hey, at WineMarket we feel a little more chic just popping the cork.
