We at WineMarket could never be called prudes.
Sure, we're a bit wine geeky and have some poor social skills and questionable dress habits, but being uptight is definitely not us. So when we get wind of a deal on sex therapist-turned-winemaker Anita Bowen's wines we get a little bit more excited than usual.
The suggestion of nocturnal activities is of course rousing but we're just talking about the wine. The vineyards sit across the road from famed winemakers Torbreck and Bowen pays special attention to her vines.
The resulting wines are seductive, slippery and sensual beasts and this Ishtar Cabernet Merlot is no exception. It's a mesh of bright blueberry fruits, some spicy oak and a whiff of that crushed herbs that you get from good Cabernet wines. Merlot makes the wine satiny and full flavoured while oak lends complexity.
We're clearing the decks to get some new vintage stock on so the price is very attractive too. Frankly, this whole deal has us a little hot under the collar.

| Winery Information |
Balthazar Barossa's first vines were planted in 1998, in an original 19th century vineyard. For those of you who never finished reading the Bible (it is rather long), Balthazar was the last of the Babylonian Kings whose love of women, food and wine lead to his downfall. |
