Ever see a red this cheap from WA?
You can see why so many Australian winemakers gaze a little enviously to the west. Not only do W.A's winemakers have amazing regions like Margaret River, Pemberton and Great Southern to work with but they've been able to convince the world that just crossing the Nullarbor increases the cost of their wine by a couple of hundred percent.
Let's face it, good cheap wines out of the West are harder to find than wedding rings on Village People.
That's why we're so chuffed to have found this one.
This is the second / EXPORT label jobbie from the red hot crew who brought you the fantastic Xabregas label.
It's got some lovely juicy fruit, more varietal character than a wine at this price rightly deserves and a level of structure and balance that makes it's price point peers look like drunk giraffes.
And if you've read this far just hoping to find out what the hell a quenda is, we can tell you it's a kind of bandicoot and these guys are telling us they’ve got a great big cage of them at the property and for every case that remains unsold at the end of the financial year another one of these cute, furry little guys gets used for crayfish bait.
And you can't let that happen, can you?
