Blessed be the grape pickers for they shall make great booze.
Rumour has it on the day this wine was conceived, the clouds parted and a beam of blinding light shone down upon the winery. A trill of distant trumpets, a strum of harps then a low booming voice says ‘This is bloody good gear’, Grant Burge doesn't mince his words…
The Holy Trinity brings together three grapes – Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre – in a holy union of svelte, slippery red fruit, a mist of sweet spice and a long, thick line of juicy tannins.
Hailing from the Barossa Valley, but inspired by the wines of the southern Rhone Valley in France, the Holy Trinity is anything but sacred. It's a wine for all and sundry; preaching to the converted with its amazing balance, structure and fruit driven intensity.
Don't be deceived though, for all its early appeal, it will also age gracefully with good cellaring. Revere it as it matures.
Twelve disciples was a good number, but we're pretty sure this wine might have a few more.

An extremely well balanced wine, thanks to its intensity, texture and structure. Keep some for the cellar for 10 years.. if you can resist.
A fantastic food wine. For a meal of biblical proportions, try roasted duck or other game dishes with couple of glasses of Holy Trinity - heavenly. |
