Something so satisfying about slugging back a glass of rosé on a hot summer's day.
Nothing quite beats it. Sure, you could dangle your legs in the pool or get nude under a sprinkler, but in reality the neighbours don't take to that kindly these days. This is the drink that everyone wants to knock back to stave off the heat and get some refreshment into the system.
The great thing about rosé is that Australia has a few aces up its sleeve. We're bloody good at making the stuff. This Barossa Valley version is chock full of warm, ripe red berry fruit and just lick of sweetness to make the medicine go down extra good.
Naked Owl may not be the fanciest winery on the block, but they sure do a mighty fine wine for the price. This rose is at the extraordinary end of the spectrum for bargains – it's full of flavour and character and gets the taste buds singing. No need to take all your clothes off this summer, just get stuck into a couple of bottles of this.

Owls, even those owls that like to express their freedom from inhibition by nuding up now and then, are not really known as a threat to grapevines.
They're much keener on small rodents and the like. But if an owl were to ever acquire a taste for the fruit of the vine it could do a lot worse than setting up camp in the Barossa. Especially if it developed a taste for Rose because in the sun-kissed vineyards of the Valley, Rose develops a range of flavours that would seduce any naked owl. Where else could you find hints of grilled meat, milk chocolate, ripe plums and exotically spice fruit cake all in one little berry? The answer is inside this bottle.
‘2011 was a great year in the Barossa Valley and I have captured all of it in this wine. This is a great drink if I say so myself!’ Randolph.
