Packed full of ultimate refreshment
Back in the 1980s, when we had big hair and tight fluorescent clothing and triangular shaped glasses, chardonnay was all the rage. You couldn’t go to a fondue dinner party, blue light disco or a BBQ while wearing thongs without falling over bottles of the golden-coloured chardonnay wines.
Then things changed. We decided to cut our hair and wear fancy designer clothes and give away all those good times things for other stuff, and chardonnay wines went with it. Up came the sauvignon blancs in their place, and we drank the refreshing, crispy white stuff by the bucket load.
But fashions change, as do pant sizes, and chardonnay is making its way back into vogue. You see chardonnay has had a make-over — gone are the pudgy, blousy, flabby things of the past and here are the tight, lean and frisky versions. Grant Burge knows this better than most, so his Batch 20 chardonnay has been to the gym, trimmed down and been packed full of ultimate refreshment.
This wine is crisp, clean and brightly flavoured — it will work as a thirst quencher or sit well with your roast chook. Best of all, we’ve turned back time on the prices too. You’ll get this wine for the price of fancy wines from the 1980s. Take up this offer today.
