Taittinger is fine French Champagne. Yep, The Fancy Stuff.
Founded in 1734 the company exploded with its popularity to become one of the best-known and most sought-after producers from the region. Now producing around 5 million bottles per year, the demand for the quality gear from this generational family business is high.
The producer works with some excellent vineyards to produce their exacting range of wines. The Brut Reserve is known for its rich aromas and fruity, almost honeyed palate, that finishes crisp with its energetic bead. These are wines that sit in the same echelon of larger houses, that include Moet et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Bollinger.
The wines are very approachable but still show characteristic complexity. Champagne's inherent ability to create wines of distinction and layered flavours hasn't been lost on this excellent house. Fancy as the Champagnes of Taittinger may be, they still offer great drinking for all occasions, and ably pair with a variety of foods. Get Fancy.

| Winery Information |
Taittinger is one of the few remaining independent champagne houses, still run by the founding Taittinger family. A world-famous and world-class French champagne house.
Taittinger typically favour a higher percentage of Chardonnay in comparison to the trio of classic Champagne varietals used (pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay). Their iconic champagne, Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blanc. While their signature bubbles might be a little out of most of our price range, the good news is that their non-vintage blends are also pretty stellar - with one NV champagne winning the Champagne Trophy from presitigous and respected Decanter Wine magazine in 2010. |
