| Colour |
Dark red with a black centre |
|
| Nose |
Shows classic aromas of black currant, with hints of crushed mulberry leaves and aniseed |
|
| Palate |
It is a voluptuous wine with velvet mouth-filling dark
chocolate fruits beautifully reined in by the firm grainy tannins characteristic of a fine Cabernet
Sauvignon. Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon at its very best. |
|
| Highlights |
This Cabernet is a blend of two low yielding vineyards tended by Dudley and Trevor Ruediger, which is situated to the north of Nuriootpa on either side of Research Road, which neatly bisects the Light Pass and Ebenezer districts of the Barossa.
To the east in Light Pass, the Cabernet grows on light sandy loam, and to the west in the Ebenezer district it grows on red, loamy clay. The Ruediger vineyards have produced a wine of great style and strength, that showcases just how good Barossa Cabernet can be. |

| Winery Information |
Peter Lehmann is regarded by many as the Baron of the Barossa valley, a title he richly deserves. He learnt his skill initially at Yalumba, then with Saltram prior to establishing his own label in 1979. 15 years later, after establishing the Peter Lehmann brand, Peter is still producing the very best ports in the Barossa. The winery has a total focus on Barossa and all its history. Peter Lehmann was International Wine & Spirit Competition in both 2003 and 2006. Lehmann labels feature the Queen of Clubs, symbolic of the many challenges faced when the Lehmann winery was established back in 1979. |
