Not really smooth - not as good as the Lehmann's 2013 shiraz I purchased in the same order.
First some geography. Castillo Peracense is NOT in Andalucia but east of Madrid towards Zaragoza on the high plain. Very different climate and altitude. That being said, the wine is great value with oddles of fruit character and pleasant mouthfeel and finish. Goes fabulously with Spanish food.
I bought this for office after work drinks and it evaporated. Liked by all and great value for money.
