Spanish Passion, Fermented, Bottled And Ready To Enjoy!

This is exactly the style of wine that's come to represent all Spanish Reds- think of it as the Barossa Shiraz of Spain.

It's a bright, fruit-forward medium-bodied Tempranillo Garnacha; brilliantly approachable while youngish and to be honest, way too easy to kill a bottle over dinner.

Jammy, ultra-ripe red berry flavours, good balance and not too much oak, this is a wine as relaxed as you'd expect from our siesta-loving amigos in España. Sometimes the best results come from the simplicity of just doing the important things right. And Spanish winemakers have been doing them for thousands of years.

The Bottom Line

  • Ultra-relaxed Red from España
  • Gold Medal winner
  • Ready to drink now, made for early enjoyment!
  • Medium bodied and perfect for food matching.

Good value. It is however a different (and acquired) taste to Aussie wines. It is still an enjoyable drop. I would buy again

Not really smooth - not as good as the Lehmann's 2013 shiraz I purchased in the same order.

"I love Spain. Good wine, great value!"

First some geography. Castillo Peracense is NOT in Andalucia but east of Madrid towards Zaragoza on the high plain. Very different climate and altitude. That being said, the wine is great value with oddles of fruit character and pleasant mouthfeel and finish. Goes fabulously with Spanish food.
